The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for children and adolescents with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, following modern principles of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM).
Individual rehabilitation programs are designed to improve functional capacity, physical activity, recovery, prevention of complications, and overall quality of life.
The Department provides rehabilitation for patients with:
- respiratory diseases;
- cardiovascular disorders;
- musculoskeletal and spinal conditions;
- rheumatic diseases;
- endocrine disorders, obesity, growth and pubertal development disorders;
- gastrointestinal diseases;
- psychosomatic and mental health conditions.
Treatment programs may include therapeutic exercise, respiratory rehabilitation, physiotherapy, inhalation therapy, peloid therapy, and specialized rehabilitation approaches for spinal disorders, including the Evminov method and Schroth therapy.
All rehabilitation plans are tailored individually according to the patient's age, diagnosis, functional status, and clinical needs.
