The Department of Developmental Psychology conducts interdisciplinary research focused on psychological development, mental well-being, adaptation, and resilience of children and adolescents under contemporary social conditions.
Research activities address cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social development across childhood and adolescence, as well as factors influencing psychological health, educational achievement, and quality of life. Particular attention is given to psychological adaptation in vulnerable populations, including children exposed to adverse life events, social stressors, and the consequences of armed conflict.
The Department develops and validates evidence-based approaches for psychological assessment, early identification of developmental and emotional difficulties, preventive interventions, and psychological support programs for children, adolescents, families, and educational communities.
Researchers of the Department actively participate in multidisciplinary projects integrating psychology, medicine, education, and public health. Scientific findings contribute to the development of modern models of psychological care, health promotion, and psychosocial support aimed at improving the well-being and developmental outcomes of children and adolescents.
