The Department of Scientific and Medical Information, Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer provides research support, scientific information management, intellectual property protection, and innovation services for the Institute.
Its activities include monitoring and analysis of scientific developments in child and adolescent health, patent information research, information support for research and doctoral projects, and assessment of information needs among researchers and healthcare professionals. The Department contributes to evidence-based research planning and facilitates access to national and international scientific knowledge.
The Department includes an Intellectual Property and Patent Service responsible for identifying research outputs with innovation potential, conducting patent searches, supporting intellectual property protection, and managing processes related to inventions, utility models, software products, and other research results. It also promotes the translation of scientific achievements into healthcare practice.
An important component of the Department is the Scientific Library, which maintains a specialized collection of more than 52,000 resources in pediatrics, school health, and adolescent medicine. The Library provides access to scientific literature, reference materials, and information resources supporting research, education, and professional development.
Through its activities, the Department strengthens research capacity, scientific communication, knowledge management, innovation, and technology transfer within the field of child and adolescent health.
